About OroGlow
A Practice Rooted in Purpose
OroGlow was born from a deep shift in both heart and practice. After nearly a decade working in inpatient rehab and acute care—specializing in oropharyngeal dysphagia and critical care—I began to feel the weight of burnout and PTSD following the COVID-19 pandemic.
In treating critically ill patients, I realized that we were often addressing surface-level symptoms rather than true root causes. Patients returned again and again with the same issues. That realization became the turning point.
I began exploring myofunctional therapy and integrative approaches—therapies that ask “why” instead of just “what.” Since then, I’ve completed over 70 hours of myofunctional training, along with coursework in feeding therapy, Buteyko Breathing, and tethered oral tissues (TOTS).
At OroGlow, I bring together clinical expertise and compassionate care to help both children and adults breathe better, swallow more efficiently, speak clearly, and thrive. My approach is not just about diagnosis—it’s about lasting change built on collaboration, function, and full-body wellness.

Meet Tricia Poindexter, MS CCC-SLP
Founder & Speech-Language Pathologist
Tricia is a licensed SLP and founder of OroGlow Myofunctional & Speech Services. With a background in acute care and a specialty in oropharyngeal dysphagia, she brings deep clinical knowledge and a holistic mindset to her practice.
After years of treating trauma and intubated patients in critical care, Tricia began to question the traditional symptom-focused model—especially after the challenges of the pandemic. That led her to pursue root-cause therapy that empowers clients across the lifespan.
She has completed:
70+ hours of advanced myofunctional therapy education
Certified Buteyko Breathing Instructor with completion of 100 hour course
Completed TOTS (Tethered Oral Tissues) & Feed the Peds coursework
Certified in the McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP)
Advanced FEES course, AmpCare certified, PMV trained
Today, she offers therapy that’s personalized, integrative, and results-driven.
Born and raised in Abilene, TX, Tricia still calls it home. She’s a proud Wylie High School grad, attended Texas Tech University (wreck ‘em!), and earned her master’s degree from Eastern New Mexico University.
When she’s not serving clients, you’ll find her sipping coffee, crafting, or hanging out with her best friend and dog, Mila. She never turns down a game night and rarely misses a Texas Tech football game.
Her work—and her life—are guided by connection, community, and care.
